Adore , Alternative Rock Band from France

ADORE is a French alternative rock band founded in 2015 by Adrien, a singer-songwriter and performer. With Alice on bass and vocals, Lionel on guitar, and Quentin on drums, the band draws its influences from both American and British rock (Royal Blood, Imagine Dragons, Grandson, Muse).
While the band’s first two releases, Restarted (EP, March 2019) and Upside Down (album, October 2021), delivered a raw and powerful rock energy—praised by the press and media (“brutally powerful” and “a thunderous kickoff” according to Rolling Stone magazine and Rock&Folk reviews)—the upcoming EP promises a new Japanese touch and an even more personal electro-rock influence.

Hi , who is Adore ?
Adore is a French alternative rock band founded in 2019 by Adrien, a singer-songwriter and performer. With Alice on bass and vocals, Lionel on guitar, and Quentin on drums, our band draws its influences from American and British rock, electro-rock artists, and Japanese rock. After two initial releases (“Restarted”, EP, 2019, and “Upside Down”, album, 2021), and dozens of concerts on the Parisian scene and beyond, we’re now back with the release of a new single (“Twisted Echoes”, May 2025).

Tell us about your latest release !
This track truly represents the culmination of our reflection on the band’s identity and uniqueness. For the first time, it features three languages — French, Japanese, and English — as our singer Adrien is Franco-Japanese. It also brings much stronger electro-rock influences than in our previous songs.

We’re also very proud of the music video released alongside the single. It’s the result of a collaboration with Boris Fellerath, our director and artistic lead, with whom we instantly clicked. The video delves into a cyberpunk, futuristic universe — and even includes a special appearance by someone who featured in the latest James Bond film… but we won’t spoil anything more!

Which guest would you like get for your next album ?
We don’t know exactly who yet, but we would love to collaborate with a Japanese artist from the rock or pop scene.

Which bands influenced your style ?
We’re particularly influenced by bands like Muse, Arctic Monkeys, and Royal Blood. On our latest single, we really highlight our electro-rock influences, with artists like Grandson and Imagine Dragons — bands we absolutely love listening to.

How many stile we can listen in your music ?
It’s hard to count them all — each band member brings their own unique musical background. Beyond the rock that unites us, Lionel, our guitarist, is a big jazz fan. Adrien also listens to a lot of pop and rap. Quentin comes more from a pop and electro background, while Alice got her start on the hard rock scene. You might not notice it right away, but all of that definitely seeps into our songwriting…!

What about the cover ?
The cover of the single Twisted Echoes resembles a screen with endlessly expanding text… It echoes the lyrics, which speak of the relentless pressure of a digital world, pushing itself toward its own downfall.

How is the music scene in your country ?
The French rock scene had grown a bit stale for a while. But today, there’s a real revival happening, with artists bringing much more diverse identities and styles. There’s more room for experimentation and for blending genres — and that’s incredibly exciting!
