Counterpart – “The Chain”
Nick is a veteran of the NYC music circle, having played as part of, or fronting several bands, some of which have toured the country and shared stages with the likes of Myles Kennedy & the Conspirators and Slash.
Trying to find a group of people with similar styles and goals can prove daunting, and so Nick put the idea aside and set out to work as a solo artist with a revolving door of musicians, hence the moniker ‘The Assistance.’ However, performing with musicians like Jordan Dean (guitar and vocals) and Arturo Vega (bass and vocals), it was clear the door wasn’t going to be opening to other musicians. These are the guys. And, with the recent, serendipitous addition of Bryan Langlotz on drums, the band is ready to take over the musical world. Or at least make themselves a significant part of it.
The goals and musical intentions of the four are tightly aligned, each member adding such significance to the project so as to make themselves irreplaceable, the name Counterpart perfectly describes its members.
A dynamic trend where technic and body blend together thanks to a good glue made of refined sounds well adapted to the musical context that embellish the listening. A listening that reveals good technical and compositional skills, and that demonstrates how the band knows how to move with familiarity in their musical environment.
“The Chain”, lays the foundations on really spot on metrics and riffs, managing to dose a mass of sounds that give concreteness and a sound mature enough to get noticed and appreciated.
