Fabiano Negri, The maestro of Heavy Metal and the supernatural awakens in a new single
| São Paulo-based renowned singer and multi-instrumentalist Fabiano Negri, owner of one of the most captivating voices in the Brazilian rock, hard rock and heavy metal scene, has recently embarked on a series of solo releases exploring supernatural and horror themes, two of his deepest passions. Rooted in the genre’s classic sound, with influences and references from iconic bands such as Black Sabbath, Ozzy Osbourne and Iron Maiden, Fabiano Negri’s approach to heavy metal adds technical nuance, epic and progressive elements that harmonize brilliantly with his chosen themes. “A Necessary Evil”, the second single in this exciting series following the excellent “Vampires”, was released on all major streaming platforms. This song clearly conveys the essence of Black Sabbath as found in legendary albums such as “Sabbath Bloody Sabbath” (1973) and “Sabotage” (1975), while at the same time evoking the more recent and progressive spirit of Iron Maiden. On the comparison between the two singles, Fabiano comments: “This time I have given more prominence to the guitar, which is a noticeable contrast to ‘Vampires’, which was mainly built around the piano. For this second single, my aim was to create a more varied harmonic atmosphere, away from the conventional”.In this release, the artist continues the narrative he began on his first all-Heavy Metal album, “ZebathY,” released last year. It explores the birth of an “evil” that redefines humanity, not necessarily for better or worse. “Essentially, it’s a metaphor for the current challenges associated with spreading misinformation by ‘opinion makers’ who often share questionable content or incite discord among people. Ultimately, the lyrics address ending this cycle to allow for rebirth”, Fabiano concluded. |
