Giancarlo Gabbanella – “Extraction” [Ghost Record]

First, hopefully of a long series, album by the Italian solo project Giancarlo Gabbanella, called “Extraction” and published by the Italian/English Ghost Record.
An album where, apparently, Gianluca makes use of the collaboration in the studio of musicians with proven experience and who undoubtedly embellish the technical depth of the proposal which travels along a hard rock line with a strong classical impact and in some rare cases, very radio.
The result is a classy, well-produced album, obviously played very well, without thinking too much about the final result from a commercial point of view, but aiming more at something that satisfies Giancarlo on a professional and personal level.
“Extraction” is an engaging, groovy CD capable of immediately entering the listener’s head. The well-constructed classic album, practically perfect in its pace and with a terribly easy-listening refrain; in every single piece, there is everything, including that feeling that exists among musicians of such caliber.
There is no shortage of more intimate songs, played on more sulphurous atmospheres and in which the guitars and their overwhelming solos take center stage. “Extraction” is the classic glossy work that still manages to unite musicians of the highest level and which, hopefully, can continue in the future.
Without a doubt, an obligatory purchase for lovers of the sounds described above, for an album to keep in your private “collection”.
