Hello Enemy, is a band intent on injecting new life into the realms of hard rock and grunge, drawing inspiration from the iconic sounds of the 90s and 2000s. Though our journey has been riddled with challenges, it has also been marked by resilience and an unwavering dedication to their craft, ultimately scoring an SA Music Awards Nomination even though they played limited shows in 2023.

Facing a pivotal moment when a band member decided to leave in May ’23, Hello Enemy stood on the precipice of disbanding. Instead of giving in to adversity, they chose to flip the script. Fuelled by their unrelenting passion, they embarked on an intense bout of songwriting, persevering through numerous revisions and external feedback that tested their resolve. With limited time on their side balancing the demands of family and daily life, they managed to create a body of work they are now incredibly proud of.

Like so many before them, Hello Enemy’s mission is to make music their life’s work, and they’re putting in every ounce of available energy to achieve it. To refine their sound, they collaborated with American producer Josh Clark of Dark Hollow Studios, while also seeking valuable feedback from trusted sources. This meticulous approach allowed them to reshape each song, capturing the essence of a bygone era and injecting it with a modern flair.

Now, after an arduous yet fulfilling 6 months, Hello Enemy is excited to present their latest works, a self titled debut EP slated for release December 15 2023 with the Leading single ‘The More You Know’ dropping two weeks prior on December 1st 2023. ‘The More You Know’ is a groove ridden exploration of self doubt and discovery, carried by a soundtrack that pays homage to the band’s 90’s grunge roots, whilst remaining relevant to now.

Self-produced and independently released, ‘The More You Know’s high point is its grand, driving chorus, worthy of stadium rock audiences. Lyrically at its core, one could almost say it’s a track rife with spiritual aggression.
