In The A.M. Solidly Hits with Their New Single/Video - "Save Yourself"

Alternative Metal/Rock Band In The A.M., has released their New Single/Video “Save Yourself” (9/3) with TLG Entertainment/INgrooves. “Save Yourself” is the first of several singles to be released over the course of 2021 through spring of 2022, with the project culminating in an EP due out sometime next year. Every single building upon the other denoting the vision of excelling quality and purity of sound. “Save Yourself” unequivocally pronounces the direction In The A.M. is heading as from the start of the first chord the listeners will be captured.

“This song is about people in your life trying to force you to be whom they think you should be because they think they know better for you than you do for yourself. Throughout my life, I’ve had to deal with a lot of bullshit people telling me who and what to be. People who lied to me mistreated me, never respected me, and constantly took away from the amazing heart that I had as a kid. People who tried their best to manipulate me into something I didn’t want to be. And this song is me writing some of that pain out on paper and putting it into art through riffs and melodies. For the kids who may be going through the same experience. For the adults who may be going through a hard time in life. For everyone who gets their therapy through music.” – Alex Shimp

In The A.M. is an Alternative/Metal & Rock band based out of Indiana, US. Members have come and gone over the last couple of years with the only consistent members being Alex Shimp and Kerry Mills, who founded the group in 2018. Since 2018, the band has released multiple singles including: “World On Fire” and “My Sins” in 2018 and 2019. These two tracks specifically helped the band grow a local fanbase in their home state of Indiana. Through multiple lineup changes, the music has remained consistent both lyrically and musically with the only real change in sound being more modern production & instrumentation. Shimp has served as the primary songwriter and vocalist since the bands’ inception in 2018. The music is constantly evolving, almost telling a story through the growth in songwriting and overall quality. While writing the EP “What Have I Become”, midway through the recording process of the 8 song project, COVID began to arise as a global issue in 2020. With so much doubt in the world at the time, it was decided that holding off on releasing new music would be the best move for the integrity of the project. While the industry took a massive hit, Alex continued writing through the pandemic, putting together a collection of singles that are set to be released throughout 2021 – 2022.
