Jiwon – “Autograph” [Self Released]

Jiwon was born on April 27, 2001 in New York City and grew up surrounded by a diverse musical environment, influenced by his father’s love of bands like Clash and his mother’s emphasis on classical training. Skilled in piano, cello, bass, and drums, Jiwon has found his expressive refuge in music. His style, an eclectic mix inspired by artists like Lou Reed and Jai Paul, defies easy categorization.

While studying philosophy at Harvard, he deepened his musical commitment and during the pandemic, interest from a major label confirmed his career choice. Jiwon’s debut album “album 1,” released in April 2023, received critical acclaim for its introspective and authentic sound. While continuing to innovate, Jiwon remains dedicated to his craft, standing out with genuine passion and sincerity in a crowded music landscape.

A dynamic trend where technic and body blend together thanks to a good glue made of refined sounds well adapted to the musical context that embellish the listening.

A listening that reveals good technical and compositional skills, and that demonstrates how the band knows how to move with familiarity in their musical environment.

“Autograph”, lays the foundations on really spot on metrics and riffs, managing to dose a mass of sounds that give concreteness and a sound mature enough to get noticed and appreciated.
