Lucio Manca - "Chameleontico"

Lucio Manca is an Italian bassist, multi-instrumentalist and session musician who, in addition to having already collaborated with already known artists (including Pino Scotto for example), carries out this solo project with the help of other musicians (Sergey Boykov on keyboards, Gabriele D’Amico on drums and Eros Melis on lead guitar).

What is offered on this album is simply spectacular! Lucio’s bass lines are full of gooves and solutions that will make fans of this instrument’s eyes bulge, while as for the other musicians…well, they’re fantastic too! The single “Moka” has that immediate feel typical of many singles, but pieces like “Camaleontico”, “Onironauta” and “Ritegno e Cognizione” are authentic shots of refined technique and top compositional imagination. You are literally astounded by such abundance, and even if we are more in the presence of an EP than a true full-length (total duration just over twenty minutes in total), this band will immediately win you over thanks to some beautiful instrumental songs that will make you dream but also bang your head in a big way.
