Overlaps - "Skin" [Self - Release]

Overlaps, is a rock band from the northeast of Italy, more precisely from near Venice, formed in 2016. The band opened for The Darkness and The Amazons at Pordenone Blues Festival in Italy this July 2022. They have just toured with The Rasmus again 12 gigs in 14 days around Europe, hitting huge and famous stages like O2 Forum Kentish Town London, O2 Ritz Manchester, Rock City Nottingham and O2 Academy Bristol.

The band’s debut single “On Monday” stormed the Virgin Radio charts in their native Italy in 2016 and managed to stay in them for six weeks. The band’s named debut album “Overlaps” was released in September 2018 and was produced by Fabio Trentini (Guano Apes, Donots), who brought his very own mix of 90s rock and crossover to the production.

The band can also be convincing live. The catchy melodies and powerful vocals of their songs are supported by the energetic instrumentation and strong image of the band on stage.
In 2018, Overlaps had the great honor to support The Rasmus on their “Dark Matter” European tour: 27 gigs in twelve different countries in 37 days.
Following that huge tour, the band played 15 headlining shows across Europe, including a performance at the 2019 Rockstock Festival at Newcastle University.

“Skin”, the last single of the band, offers an intense and engaging Alternative Rock sound, well enhanced by softer grafts, which give dynamism to the whole path. The overall sound is energetic, compelling, with a redundant and full-bodied amalgamation by means of sounds that enhance and embellish the structure. A job well done to leave a good mark with the intent in our opinion successful to make the song as a whole dynamic and bright.

Overlaps, with this proposal, prove to be prepared to create dynamic structures, undoubtedly leaving an excellent mark. A strong voice gives further volume and depth to listening, generating a good fluidity that turns out to be so engaging and not at all tiring. A song that drags the listener into a dimension with a notable sound impact and that releases excellent vibrations.
