Sound Affliction, lead listeners down “The Path” with new single
Heavy and melodic hard rock is the name of the game for Brisbane locals Sound Affliction.
The band revelled in the success of their debut release, The End, in early 2023 and are closing off the year with a brand-new single, The Path.
With their sights set on dominating stages far and wide, Sound Affliction are excited to be unleashing The Path, a song that showcases exactly how energetic and dynamic this band is. Mixed by award-winning producer Michael James of Alternator Records (USA), The Path fortifies Sound Affliction’s scale of heavy and melodic riffs, complimented by driving beats and emotive lyrics.
Frontman Matty is a force of nature with a captivating vocal range that fascinates and enthrals audiences, while guitarists Dan and Wayne are a veritable duel-edged harmonious sword that sonically elevates the listener and thrusts them between the urgency of furious shredding and tempered beauty, often within a single song. With an assortment of crazy fills, frantic double kicks and the skill to take Sound Affliction from 0 to 100 in the blink of an eye, drummer Travis is a force to be reckoned with behind the skins.
With the recent recruitment of new bassist Ian ‘Squirty’ Graham, an extra element of excitement has stirred within the band, as this addition further adds to the dynamics and dimension of the band’s songwriting and performances.
Sound Affliction have a tenacious vision, with an abundance of music still to come. Heavy, melodic rock has never tasted so good and with The Path, the entrée has only just been served.
