Symphress – “Pseudo” [Self Released]
Symphress emerged in 2015 in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, transitioning from an acoustic-ambient project to a force in progressive and symphonic rock and metal. Their debut concert in 2016 marked the beginning of a journey that saw them perform at renowned venues and festivals across Romania. In 2023, Symphress released their debut album, “Father Time – Part I,” a fusion of classic prog rock with a symphonic twist, featuring 14 tracks spanning diverse genres.
The album’s success led them to the finals of the Rock the Camp Battle of the Bands, showcasing their versatility and talent. They followed up with the release of the single “Dewsong” and the EP “Un Cântec Simplu,” paying tribute to Romanian musician Viorel Simionca, former vocalist of Nordica. Their sophomore album, “Pseudo,” dropped in early 2024, showcasing their evolution and maturity as musicians.
Symphress embarked on a tour to support the album, sharing stages with notable bands like Sirenia and Gothic, solidifying their status as rising stars in the Romanian music scene. With their unique blend of styles and commitment to originality, Symphress continues to captivate audiences and expand their musical horizons.
