Zennui – “Kingdom Jones and the Atom Heart Family” [Self-Release]
The Zen-metal masters Zennui release the new EP “Kingdom Jones and the Atom Heart Family”, a general sound, dark, with aggressive lines, all concentrated on five tracks that in some circumstances also gives melodic cues that are opposed to a full-bodied bass “Kingdom Jones and the Atom Heart Family”. A rougher central part that leaves room for softer riffs as in the “Crestfallen” track gives the EP a good dynamism enhanced even more by the almost Doom tone.
Influenced by the creative elements of the universe and smelted together from the slag of metals, Zennui explores “the zen of existential dread”. Not inhibited by time, and existing from without, Zennui pulls from the very fabric of the continuum to create a sound beyond the boundaries of the ether.
