MOTHER MERSY Inspired by bands and artists such as David Bowie, Jeff Buckley and Led Zeppelin (but also more contemporary acts such as Rival Sons, Dirty Honey and Greta Van Fleet) as well as by the dark personal portraits in Stephen King’s novels and the powerfully uncompromising participants of Ru Paul’s Drag Race.
This Malmö based band’s music ranges from dirty up-tempo rock n ‘roll to melancholic, psychedelic ballads from a place where old school 70’s rock meets contemporary rock n’ roll. Energetic and soulful, without apologizing.
Tongue Tied is a grungy riff-rocker that explores the point where grief and sadness start turning into resentment. Combining a slow, heavy drum beat with riffs that sound as at home in the ’70s as they would in the ’90s, and featuring a strong, bitter, and emotional vocal performance, this song is guaranteed to hit you where it needs.
Mother Mersy, are a hard rock band from Malmo, Sweden, playing what they like to call Merciless Rock N’ Roll. The band are currently releasing our second EP, ‘Armageddon’, and looking to reach new listeners beyond our home country.
